One of the better Low Budget films
This film was indeed an enjoyable one. It happens in reality that we sometimes envy our friends who are doing well with their finances. Diane brought this all on herself, and the way she trailed behind Russ(a successful attorney, young and retiring) was shameful. Friends don't give friends kisses on the lips that linger. Diane's husband, (Donte) was a hard worker and even though he suspected Diane of loving Russ, he still was madly in love with her, yet she made the decision to cheat in her marriage with another attorney she bumped into after leaving the courthouse.(Using her day off work to see Attorney Russ do his thing in court.) This man went berserk, kidnapping Russ's wife. and in his mind it was revenge. Diane's attitude toward her husband created so many problems it led to his death. He was never going to harm Russ's wife. Others concerned with this family also thought Russ and Diane were kicking it. In the end Ms Diane ended up without the house her husband had bought her, and had to move into an apartment. The best thing Diane did was later confess to her long time Attorney Friend,(Brook, who assisted her in obtaining a restraining order), that she lied and that Don had only tried to love her and his reactions were brought on by the way she treated him. Robin Givens played the role as Diane to the top. She is an ace actress or she was having flash backs. When Don knocked dishes from her hand, the movement of her right arm showed fear as well as the look she gives over her cup of coffee the morning Don is leaving the home to stay in a motel. For those who don't see life actions in this film, watch it again.
Doesn't even deserve 1 star
I am not really sure which movie the previous comment is referring to. Atrocious, crappy, abominable and unbelievably stupid are just some of the adjectives that would describe this movie. This movie suffers from poor acting, awful direction and a disastrous script. It has all the ingredients of a trash movie. Ultimately, it was a painful experience watching this movie. The director of this movie seriously needs to reconsider his career options. If there is anything that this movie has to offer to the world, then it should be used as a case study for film students to learn how not to make a movie. I wouldn't certainly recommend this movie to even my worst enemy. (Well, that's not entirely true; If I had to kill someone, I'd let him watch this movie). All I can think of saying is YUCK !!!
A Powerful Movie
This is one powerful movie. After you have seen it, the situations involved within the movie will linger around inside your head a while. It will certainly make you think. This is by far one of actor Sean Blakemore's best. He and Robin Givens go well together in this movie. They both are great actors(actresses). The only major draw back from this movie is that it is low budget. It is definitely worth seeing! Producer/Director Reggie Gaskins who also stars in this film was not a natural for the role that he played. He was decent, but the character that he played would have fit someone else better. Last but not least, the beautiful Mari Morrow. She always somehow seem to fit right in with movies like this( you should see her in the movie Uninvited Guest) You will always try to figure out the ending. You're in for a surprise! Enjoy!
Great Movie
This is really an excellent movie. It needs to be in Theatres. Sean Blakemore was outstanding and this is the best acting I've ever seen Robin Givens do. Also, the writer and director who is also in the film did an extraordinary job as director and actor, something rarely seen in Hollywood. I give him major props for wearing all the hats and wearing them well. He also wrote the film. I like watching him on EVE. He's funny and in this movie he's funny and dramatic. And N'Bushe Wright is no joke. I didn't know she was as funny as she was. It was great seeing her in a comedic role. I really like, one of my favorite actresses. It was also good seeing Uncle Phil - James Avery, he played a heck of a judge. This was really a great movie.
Not Good
Sorry, not a good movie. I am a movie fanatic so I watch a lot of movies so my opinion could be because I have seen some great movies. Yet this one really SUCKED! I mean I give the writer points for putting together a story but this really sucked. Robin Givens acting was not good at all. She gets what she deserves in the end. However Sean Blakemore had the crazy role down (not his best performance though). The movie didn't have enough detail and had me a little frustrated and confused even though it came together in the end. But there wasn't that feeling of aww OK, it was just..... I would definitely not recommend to friends.
