Loved the movie but I could be prejudiced!
After Wanda shot Karl she went to jail and he went to the hospital. When he got out of the hospital he bailed her out and refused to press charges (she was a very good shot, if she'd wanted to kill him she would have and I'm sure he knew that), but must have been a little leery of having her living out at the ranch for fear her marksmanship would improve, so he bought her a house in Worland, Wyoming where she lived out her few remaining years. That house is right across the street from my home where I'm writing this. I also know quite a few of her family at least in passing, quite a few of the extras in the movie, and James McMurtry, Steve James, and Jalan Crossland are among my most favorite musicians, so this was way fun for me. A fascinating story of a "complicated" woman.
