The Savior (2014) is a Arabic movie. Robert Savo has directed this movie. Zohir Al Nobani,Mohammad Bakri,Abeer Issa,Yussuf Abu-Warda are the starring of this movie. It was released in 2014. The Savior (2014) is considered one of the best Biography,Drama,History movie in India and around the world.

It is a time when Rome rules the world with the power of life and death in their hands. The province of Roman Palestine is a bubbling cauldron of rebellion and control. And on this greater canvas Luke, narrates a story of wonder, amazement and impact... The world is anticipating this moment in history but no one can imagine God touching His creation in the form of a little baby named Jesus. Much is recorded in the Gospels about Jesus' miraculous birth, to a young virgin named Mary, in Bethlehem, but little is known about his quiet growing up in Nazareth. Joseph, his adopted father, seems to have died well before Jesus turns 30 and begins his ministry.

The Savior (2014) Reviews

  • A brilliant work between Palestinian and Jordanians!

What makes this version of the Jesus Movie a powerful one is the fact that it is in Arabic! Unlike previous versions of the movie, almost most of the actors are from Palestine and Jordan (with few from Bulgaria). The movie has been able to carefully capture the life of Jesus according to the Gospel of Luke, with miracles not previously shown in other Jesus films. The actor Shredy Jabarin did a phenomenal job in acting out the gentle yet wise character of Jesus, and the overall choice of actors has been wonderful. The movie however lacks the proper graphic effects and make-up is a bit poor during the Crucifixion scene. I give two thumbs up for Music, Acting and Directing.

  • Put together greatly. Well done.

Easter is dawning, and right now I'm going on an Easter film marathon, and I happened to stumble over this film. I am glad to of, because I have experienced a well put together film because of it. The visuals in this film are brilliant, I must say. Most of the scenery is animated, and it's beautiful to look at, which I think is a success in film when you make fake scenery look so beautiful. The camera- work, sound design, make up and costume design are also really well done, and I congratulate this film because of it. The film's a feast for the eyes. Now, what made this film a cut above your average film was the narrative structure. The director knew what he was doing when he made this film, and he got an editor to piece the clips all together, making the film flow as if it were one clip. The narration in this film also accompanies the structure perfectly, giving us information of what happened in parts along the way in our journey. The film knows how long a scene should be, and how to make the scene lengths fit the tone of the film, and that is a very rare gift, because a lot of films just have clips all over the place that are too short or too long, and it would then be a big jumble. This film, however, knows better. The acting in this film is very good as well. Jesus was portrayed by a very talented actor, understanding the calmness and understanding of the character he was playing. Herod Agrippa was also played by a very talented actor as well, who knew the lustful personality of the character he was playing, and he did a fine job portraying him. Herod's character was acted perfectly, and I think he was the best actor in the whole film. Judas was also portrayed by a good actor, the actor actually coming across as if he were Judas. The acting, overall, was very good. The film is very good, but there were only two things I thought were wrong. One, I think the slow-motion parts were used twice as much as they needed, so they could of got rid of some of them. Two, in one scene, the music was a bit too over-the-top, and it was a bit cringe worthy, because I felt silence would of been more dramatic than some superhero sort of music. But otherwise, the film was really good, and I'm glad I got to see it. You should too.
