• A must see gem

  I am a Bulgarian and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this movie at the cinema. I did not have very high expectations to start with, as generally I am not a fan of comedies, but this one is an extremely fresh and amusing motion picture with fantastic music. I went out of the cinema with a big smile on my face. A must see gem! Congratulations to Niki Iliev for the great story and the beautiful way the whole movie was shot. The casting is great, too. The film is humorous, unpredictable and keeps the viewer's attention till the end. One thing is for sure - you cannot get bored or yawn while watching it, at least if your are a Bulgarian. However, you may not be able to stop laughing - that is what happened to me while I was watching "The foreigner".

• Very unhappy with the irritating script of the film.

  Unfortunately, I will strongly disagree with the current review of this film. I am disappointed from this movie's script where dialectic-ism is used in a very flat, inappropriate and completely irritating way. The characters are underdeveloped, insufficient and much more work and complexity is needed to ignite someone's feelings. Actors play is on a very low level and inappropriately selected for their images. Some of the good features of the movie are the selected music and camera work. Otherwise, I had a pretty bad time trying to stay focused and watch the film.

  Whoever wrote the positive reviews for this movie are either friends or relatives of the cast. Absolutely dreadful script, pathetic acting and overall amateur like approach. I managed to watch the first half hour and switched to something less appalling. The actors selected to play the leading roles should really pursue a different career. Is it really that difficult to pick a native French speaking person in the leading male role (to make the storytelling more believable) and someone who is less pretty but more talented in the leading female role. The people who decided to make this movie - you really are making a bad name for yourself. Beautiful scenery shot in the village is all that is good about this poor attempt of film-making.

  The movie isn't bad but also is nothing special considering that it is a directorial debut. It is true that the rating is too high I gave him 5 but I must admit that there were pretty funny moments. It is a light and pleasant story, with very nice music and also with beautiful actors. Interesting fact about the film is that it is an extended version of the short film with which the director graduated from the university. The film has no deep meaning and it's just a story about the clash of people who have nothing in common. It's good for wasting time and if you are looking for something that doesn't make you think about serious things. The feeling that one feels after watching a film depends on expectations before watching it so my advice is have low expectations and the movie will surprise you.

  It's just bad. Each Bulgarian film in the last 5 years is a weak excuse for cinema. Of course the audience can be blamed for not putting a higher standard, they are satisfied with this bad acting. No story. A few funny lines. The screenplay is awful. And not just in the Bulgarian movies. It's every single commercial. Bulgaria also suffers from bad music. Wrong youngsters culture. Ton of bad books. I really hope that it will be fixed. Start with the cinema. And grow a beard. Make a hoax( I'm still here. Joaquin phoenix). Do something interesting.
