And getting stoned. But when a mysterious woman washes up on the shore at Sunken City, Nick is called back to the beat where his calm, cool life becomes even more dazed and confused.

A fun, light hearted movie
Good acting, and a good plot make this a must watch film. I think San Pedro is the perfect place for the location, since it really is one of the last cities in LA with a bit of the old west "live and let live" mentality. The diverse people, and locales of the city were perfectly blended in this film to give the viewer a solid eclectic experience. This movie really shows that an Indie movie can still pull off a high quality production. The main character is easy to identify with, especially for those who ever longed for simpler, and more care free days. There is light hearted humor throughout the film, which do not seem overly forced, or amateurish as is the case with many of the Indie flicks. The creators of the film also seem to genuinely appreciate the diversity that comes with living in San Pedro, which is a unique perspective of this region of Los Angles. The film takes you from the rugged coast lines to the classical old style downtown, which looks like it could have been something out of a 1940's mobster movie. If I had to find anything at all wrong with the film, I would only have a small nit about how the ending was tied together. While everything made sense, a few bits of information that was put together at the end were a bit too subtle to catch. The information maybe in there, but it may take a sharp eye to catch it.
Excellent visuals and story-line and a rare glimpse into San Pedro and all of it's beauty!
Having grown up in San Pedro, it was refreshing to see a movie shot around familiar scene's, The movie has a laid-back, crime-solving, pot-smoking and Caribbean vibe. I love films like this, beautiful scenery and a funny story line that to me, goes together just right! Sit back, Relax and if you can manage to see this movie, add it to your Friday night list!
