Amateurville Horror
I tried; I couldn't. This film is craptastic; so craptastitc, in fact, that try as I might, I could not keep my attention on it. Tumblr memes won. Actually, paint drying would have won out over 'Ghost Source Zero'. The film is so disjointed that it was hard to distill a narrative from the jumbled mess of poorly constructed visual refuse vomited across my screen. I can't even say it was a good first try. Nope... I'm trying to find something redeeming, or at least something nice to say about the film. There isn't. I've seen far better high-school media production class projects. Avoid at all costs.
Dear mother of God....
That's one and a half hour that I'll never get back. I'm lying, no human beeng can not watch this ''movie'' for more than 10 minutes. Real waste of time.
I do not think this is worth an 8.8/10...
I was fooled watching this movie thinking it had an amazing rating of 8.8/10 Do not be tricked by this fake rating, everyone! The story was so bad, the characters and their personalities were dull and boring, and dear GOD every actor and actress in this movie did horrible. The effects, the sound, the camera shots, and the fight scenes were also badly done. tl;dr. This is a terrible movie!! The fact the review rating was also fake makes this movie even worse. Wish I can give it a 0, but I can't, so this pity 1* will do.
A source of zero quality
Am a major film buff. Of all decades, all genres, regardless of budget. Never has there been the intention of bias, like saying that my favourite directors and actors have never made bad films or done bad performances (not true in any case). Or saying that any directors and actors that don't know anything for me have only done bad films or only done bad performances (mostly not true, have seen the odd surprisingly watchable effort and seen surprisingly good performances with a good script and director). What semi-intrigued me about 'Ghost Source Zero' was the premise, if done right the film could have been interesting at least. Did think that even then it was not the sort of premise that one could say "what could possibly go wrong?" like there is with some. Did feel that there were potential traps with it, with the wrong execution, it could easily have been cluttered, disorganised and far-fetched. Really wanted to be fun, thrilling and intriguing. 'Ghost Source Zero' sadly was none of those things and fell into all three of those mentioned potential traps. Of all the films seen recently, which has been many with a good deal of spare time on my hands, 'Ghost Source Zero' is down there with the worst. 'Ghost Source Zero' is amateur-hour visually. If there are two words to sum up the production values here, it would be drab and chaotic which made the atmosphere feel very dreary and the photography and editing gave me a headache and nausea. The film is over-bearing on a musical level and the sound is recorded in a way that's unintentionally creepy and further suffering from inappropriate, in terms of being random and like an afterthought, placement. The writing is so bad that it is impossible to keep a straight face, had to refrain myself from laughing when not meant to (very rare for me). One cannot believe their ears at hearing dialogue so vomit-inducing and with such a lack of natural flow delivered like wood. Even worse is the storytelling, primarily suffering from trying to cram in far too much and doing nothing with any of it, on top of having a choppy structure. Making it a disjointed jumble that is mostly impossible to follow. The very few times it's coherent (and few is being kind), not only is it hard to invest in it and take it seriously with all the ridiculousness it is just not engaging with such lifeless pacing. Furthermore, there is no competence in the direction and the characters are completely un-engaging, dull as dishwater ciphers that irritate with their illogical behaviours. The less said about the non-existent acting the better. Summarising, a complete and utter mess with zero quality to be present in sight. 1/10 Bethany Cox
