Hurrah for a film with an original storyline! A great cast bring this bittersweet tale to life, where the humour is reasonably gentle, it's more of a bring a smile to your face kind of comedy than full on belly laughs, but it works well, and I can't understand why there aren't any reviews for it, and why it isn't more well known than it is. It's good enough to be up there with the likes of' Pride' and 'Saving Grace' in the British comedy league. It's Steve Speirs who co-wrote and produced it that carries the film, and a fine job he does, his character is believable, and played with the right balance of pathos and comedy. If you get the chance to see this do so, we'll worth watching, and it'll make you think about your local council...
